Pool cages

Do I need a permit for a pool cage in Naples?

Yes. Any new aluminum screen enclosure or structural replacement in Collier County (and in Lee County for Bonita Springs, Estero and Fort Myers) requires a building permit with engineered drawings. Rescreening and like-for-like repairs generally do not. We pull the permit as part of every new build.

Should I replace my pool cage or refurbish it?

If the frame is structurally sound, a refurbish (rescreen, repaint, new hardware and doors) is the better value. If posts are corroded through, footers have shifted, or the cage pre-dates the current wind code and you want it built to last, a replacement makes more sense. We'll inspect it and quote both.

How long does a new pool cage take?

Once the Collier or Lee County permit is issued, most residential pool cages are typically built in three to seven working days. Permitting itself usually takes two to four weeks depending on the jurisdiction and whether engineering is required. We handle the drawings, submission and inspection.

Which screen is best for a Naples pool cage?

Standard 18/14 fiberglass mesh is the most economical. No-See-Um (20/20) keeps out the tiny biting midges common near the mangroves and preserves. Super Screen is a heavier polyester mesh that resists tears, pets and UV far longer. Picture-window panels give an open view without vertical bars. We carry all of them and will show you samples.

Can you repair a cage damaged in a hurricane?

Often, yes. If the frame is straight and the footers haven't moved we can replace bent members, re-tension and rescreen. If posts are buckled or the cage was under-engineered, we'll recommend a replacement built to current code and give you both prices so you can decide with your insurer.

Do you work with condo associations?

Yes. We rescreen and replace community pool enclosures, install aluminum balcony railings and provide engineered drawings for the association's records. We can phase the work so the pool stays open as much as possible.

Working with us

Where do you work?

We build and service pool enclosures throughout Naples, Marco Island, Bonita Springs, Estero, Fort Myers and Cape Coral from our Naples shop and Bonita Springs location. Call (239) 317-5471, or the Bonita office on (239) 221-1287.

How do you price a job?

We give a written, itemized quote after we measure, never a per-square-foot guess over the phone. If a refurbish is realistic we can price that option alongside the new build so you can compare. Estimates are free: call (239) 317-5471 or send the estimate form.

Do you install permanent lighting?

Yes: rooflines and soffits, pool cages and lanais, and landscape and pathway lighting. The system is installed once and stays on your home year-round, and you switch between warm-white downlighting and holiday or seasonal colors from your smartphone. See permanent lighting.

What are your hours?

Monday to Friday 8 am to 6:30 pm, and Saturday 9 am to 3 pm. Closed Sunday. Our shop is at 3230 31st Ave SW, Naples, FL 34117.
